A graduate of Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine (1964), he went on to pursue advanced medical training, including studies at Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he deepened his expertise in rheumatology and complex autoimmune disease.

Dr. Shams-Pirzadeh devoted much of his professional life to serving patients in Baltimore County and the greater Maryland community.
